Mikey – the dancing Bear

“Mikey” is a short animated movie combined with Real Movie. The location is a nursery and the idea behind it is “What do the children’s toys and stuffed animals do when the child is out of the house?”
Teddy Mikey goes to the child’s desk because he wants to put on his white hat to dance Michael Jackson.
The animation I did with the program Maya. Here is a picture:
The finished animation will be uploaded to 3ds Max. The created light provides shade and then it is important to find the right settings for the light. Here I have the Ambiente Oclusion rausgerendert with the appropriate shade. Here’s the result of Mikey’s two positions.
After the light and the shadows are right, the materials come in. For the teddy “Hair on Fair” was used. There are also many fabric textures that have been carefully selected. After a few experiments, the following results were achieved:

The compositing was solved in After Effects and provides the final touches of the film.
After the film was finished, it was decided that we still make a poster for the film. Mikey in a dynamic gear with his hat on his head. Here is the result:
